KnowHowNonProfit Collaboration
KnowHow NonProfit offers nfp-Resourcing candidates the chance to get ahead!
Nfp-Resourcing has added a new page to its website; 'Get ahead with KnowHow!' www.knowhownonprofit.org is a website built exclusively for the non-profit sector and caters for any level of experience. If you are looking for your next position, this is the perfect way to keep up to date, sharpen your knowledge and demonstrate your potential to employers.
If you are new to the sector the site gives an essential introduction to the non-profit world, whilst also providing a means to demonstrate your transferable skills. For those who already have experience, KnowHow will help you keep up to speed with events, as well as enabling you to interact with other professionals.
If you are regularly contributing on the discussion boards you will receive an accreditation from KnowHow NonProfit which will enhance your CV and heighten your profile within the sector.
Entirely free and easy to use, KnowHow was set up to provide the means for professionals in the sector to share their skills and overcome any challenges they may encounter. It has been built out of Cass Department for Charity Effectiveness using a Big Lottery Basis grant. KnowHow NonProfit was officially launched in April 2009 and has now exceeded its projected visitor targets several times over.
So click on the 'Get ahead with knowhow' tab on the menu down the side of this page and join the community. You'll also find podcasts to listen to, a whole calendar of events, conferences, seminars and training courses and even their own fortnightly 'Millcaster tales;' where the real life trials and tribulations of working in nonprofit organisations are brought to life.

Research study
nfp Resourcing has partnered with ERAS to conduct a research study designed to identify the profile of successful senior fundraisers.
We are delighted that The Institute of Fundraising is encouraging its members to participate in the study and to disseminate the findings.
The IoF has long recognised that if the profession is to succeed and gain the recognition it deserves one of the key things that must happen is that charities need to appoint fundraisers who are going to succeed. After all, it is not always fundraisers that do the hiring of fundraisers.
Knowing what a good fundraiser looks like, predicting those who have the potential to succeed as senior fundraisers, as well as knowing how and where to target training and development initiatives is the aim of our exciting and forward thinking study.
If you are a member of the IoF and you participate in the study, you will receive a copy of your individual profile report, which normally costs £67. This will be invaluable to you in understanding your approach to your work and for planning your future professional development.
If you are not a member of the IoF and want to participate in the study, why not become a member today and receive immediate practical benefit?
Helping you recruit over Christmas
Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean that you have to stop recruiting and in fact it's a good time to attract potential candidates who are contemplating a move in New Year. Any vacancy listed in December on www.nfpjob.co.uk can remain on the site until the end of January 2009 - normally vacancies are only listed for 28 days so you get over 4 weeks extra! For more information, please email info@nfp-resourcing.co.uk or telephone 0845 0945 336 today!
Nfp Member of Association Executive Recruiters
Nfp is now a member of the Association of Executive Recruiters. The Association of Search and Selection Consultancies was formed in 1983, became a division of REC in 1995 and reformed as the Association of Executive Recruiters in 2005.
All members adhere to a demanding Code of Practice to ensure a specified level and quality of service to clients. To view the code, please go to
www.rec.uk.com/regions-sectors/sectors/ ... f-practice
We are delighted that our application has been approved and we are grateful to the clients who kindly agreed to act as referees for the quality of the executive search and selection we provide.
Nfp reaches 100
Launched in May 2008, nfpjob now regularly has over 100 vacancies listed and the numbers continue to grow. Over 140 charities have now set up employer accounts and the site has had over 30,000 unique visits to date. Not only is this a great achievement in the current economic climate, but it has been achieved without the board being open to recruitment agencies to use. The feedback from job seekers and employers alike is that they prefer the transparency of nfpjob - you always know who the employer is right from the start.
